Cute deployment story for kiddos
Adorable book! As someone who’s deployed a few times I think this would have been a beautiful book to gift the kids before deployment. I think even if it’s your mommy that deploys it’s still such a fun and helpful read for kiddos who experience such w their parents.

Thank you for making this
My husband is currently deployed and my son is old enough this time to have it impact him more. I’m super excited to read this to him and help us cope together ♥️

5.0 out of 5 stars Must have for military families!
Such a cute book. Easy to read and follow the story. Illustrations are bright and colorful, and most of it my 6yo could read herself!

Must have for the littles
Such a sweet story that gives a bit of insight into what mommy or daddy may be doing on deployment. A reminder that even though they may be physically far away – they’re never that far from the heart. Great read!

Cute story with real life background and great animations.
This is such a cute story and very well animated. You can tell the soul that was put into writing this book from the author. It’s great for families with ones on deployment or getting ready to go underway! A must read for all!!!

A vital Military Family Resource
This book is a valuable resource in a space that lacks for military families.
Deployments, TADs, and extended absences are all too common in the Military. Across the board, our soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines deploy and travel across the world. More often than not, they leave behind families (both chosen and not) that might be scratching their heads waiting for their loved one to come home.
Frankly, this book is closing that gap. I wish I had this when I had to leave my boys in Okinawa as I got sent across the world. Then again, when I deployed to Europe, and even traveled across the country. If you know a military family that’s coming up on these trials, I highly recommend this piece for them. Help their kids understand and make their parent’s journey a literal bedtime story.

Love this!
As a Navy veteran I can relate to this story and wish I had it to share with my daughter when I deployed to Afghanistan and Bahrain.

From the heart
A real tribute to the families that get split up during deployments, workups, late nights, etc.
Hits hard being one of those that served side by side with my family for 20 yrs

Perfect Book for Deployment
This book is very well thought out and written to help littles when their dad is out doing his job in the military. I love the part with flowers for mom and a toy for me!

A cute and touching book for families!
What a sweet book this was. You can really feel the love he put into writing it. This is something that can be part of bedtime routines for so many kids who’s parents are serving our country. It will help them feel seen and know that others are going through the same thing. 5 stars wasn’t enough, if you have a young kid and are being deployed or know someone who is, buy this book for them, I know I will.
Love the Deployment Stash
This book is adorable. While simple in its words, it says exactly what we as the deploying parent feels. It is difficult to put the emotion into words how it feels to leave your loved ones at home and go off with our friends on dangerous adventures.
I recommend this book for all my SAR brothers and sisters with children. Let them know you love them and that this job is a calling. We do it for our familes and for our friends, must ultimately… This We Do So Others May Live.
